We strongly recommend that you look at a variety of schools to help you to make informed choices. Secondary Schools often hold information events and Open Evenings; as yet we are unsure what provision will be made for this academic year in light of the Covid-19 outbreak. We suggest families keep an eye on the High School’s websites and will inform you of any further information we receive from Secondary Schools.

Writing Challenge

Join in with the fun….. We have some amazing writers in year 6 who may be interested in taking part in this challenge. The project, Saving Anksi, will launch on the 11th May. Over 3 weeks, children are invited to explore the story by investigating artefacts from museums, storytellers and artists as they piece together clues in the story world.  They will share ideas with other children through the story. The story will also consider looking after our planet by exploring eco-literacy.

Your parents will need to visit the site and also help you to upload your work. It would be great to see some work from the children at Queen’s Hill appearing on their website!

Good luck and have fun:-)

Norfolk Library Service Book Club.

This sounds amazing! Join other readers in Norfolk who enjoy reading and discuss books in a virtual world. The first book is Spaghetti Hoop Boy and is free to download following the instructions below:

All of the titles will be free to download from using the Libby app on tablets/phones. You need a library card and PIN to be able to access the books. Anyone who needs to join the library can do so by using this link, the details you need will be sent by email. https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/libraries-local-history-and-archives/libraries/your-library-account/join-the-library

If anyone has any difficulty downloading ebooks you can email mailto:libraries.iconnect@norfolk.gov.uk and we’ll do our best to help.

There’ll be a new book every 2 weeks. We’ll be encouraging to share their thoughts and reviews (via their parents) within this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/574424336761359/, so they feel like they are like of a wider group of children taking part. They might even get their reviews published on our online catalogue or displayed in our libraries when we reopen.
