Year 3 learn about the Egyptians
Les Taupes have counted each school day this year and represented it with a straw. When we get ten straws, they are bundled up which supports our place value and counting. When we have ten groups of ten we know we have 100!
Today Les Taupes celebrated the 100th day of school by decorating biscuits with hundreds and thousands!
Today Year 3 also finished their Egyptian Death Masks. Make sure you see the display outside the Year 3 classrooms!

Year 4 Visit West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village
Year 4 had an inspiring visit to West Stow Anglo-Saxon village on Friday 8th February. The day began with us exploring the outdoor village and trying to be historians – looking for clues. See map and photos. After lunch we were given the opportunity to look around the museum. We tried on clothes and armour; looked at the impressive collection of archaeological finds and even got a chance to handle some real life artifacts. It was a cold and tiring day but a fantastic springboard into our history topic after half term.
Encourage your children to do their own research if they wish in their free time.

UEA Orchestra Outreach Day
Today a group of our Key Stage 2 students attended an activity day at the UEA. They had the chance to speak to students and find out all about what it is like to study at university. As part of this, students listened to some musicians and ask questions about extra-curricular opportunities at university. Thank you to the UEA for hosting us!
