This week year 1 started practising the different activities that they will complete during our sports morning. The children were really excited to try something new.

Year 3 Stone Age
Year 3 had fun creating these amazing Stone Age fact files this week.
They were able to include pieces of work from writing, DT, art and history to produce a brilliant final piece.
We are very proud of their efforts and the children enjoyed taking them home to share with their families.
Crucial Crew
Year 6 had the chance to learn vital skills through the ‘Crucial Crew’ safety programme during their visit to The Space today. They had workshops from partners including: Norfolk Constabulary, Road Safety, RNLI, St Johns Ambulance and HM Coast Guard. Children found out about staying safe in a fun and interactive way so they feel confident to recognise hazards and know how to safely respond. We were very proud of how engaged children were throughout the sessions.
Year 3 Cave Art
Year 3 explored different cave paintings and had a go at replicating some using chalk pastels this afternoon.

Thorpe Park!
Year 6 had a great time at Thorpe Park for their very well-deserved end of SATS treat! The children were so excited and were fearless going on some very thrilling rides. We were so proud of how they represented the school too.
Year 2 – Science
Year 2 have been investigating world habitats in their Science lesson, they used books and iPads to research their chosen world habitat. Then they drew a diagram of that habitat and wrote a description explaining which living things lived there and the special features they needed to survive.

Next week our amazing Year 6 pupils take part in their end of Key Stage 2 SATs. We couldn’t be more proud of how hard they have worked in preparation. Each and every one of them has shown so much grit and determination and they have all had such wonderfully positive attitudes. The progress they have made, regardless of what happens next week, has been exceptional. A huge good luck to everyone, however, remember this is just one week in the learning journey so far and all we can ask is that they try their best. Have a lovely, restful weekend, enjoy the sunshine and we look forward to welcoming our Year 6’s to SATs Breakfast on Monday.

Y1 – Materials
As part of their materials topic Year 1 tested materials to find out which ones were waterproof. They came to the conclusion that plastic was waterproof. Mrs Carpenter then stood behind a big piece of plastic so we could really test it out. It’s a good job that they were right!
Interviewing Adults
As part of their topic some Year 1 children chose to interview Mr Cross and Mrs Suffield. They asked them about their current job and the jobs that they had had before.
Music Trip
Some children enjoyed a music recital at Norwich Cathedral this afternoon.
They enjoyed hearing the piano, a cello and a vocalist.
They represented our school well and we are very proud of them.
